phpmyadmin "access denied" private

I Recentally bought a server at softlayer.
everything is great but

Under Sql Services
phpmyadmin


Wrong username/password. Access denied.

why is it giveing me this error?


i was trasfering websites from my old server to this server and well...
everything was all fine
but the databases wernt there nor were the users for the databases so i had to manually
imput everyone
it works and all but im wondering why when i transfer a account it doesnt do the databases

please help im new and a noobie

I remember there were some issues with that in an earlier build of cPanel 11, have you tried updating cPanel/WHM to see if that resolves the issue?

WHM -> cPanel -> Upgrade to Latest Version

I just started having this problem today after the latest RELEASE update to R18450 on Centos 5. I've tried forcing an upgrade of mysql, cpanel, and I reset my root password for mysql - no change. Was there a fix for this?

I'm effected by this now too. Just ran all the updates and now I get this but mysql is running and working fine still. Just phpmyadmin I can't login with.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem... the mysql server is running, as all the sites are working perfectly, the only problem is with phpmyadmin.

I've done a separate phpmyadmin instalation and worked... but it would be nice to have it fixed

I've opened a ticket... and after 1 hour, someone entered into my server and fixed instantly awesome support!

Check whether following lines are commented in /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/config.inc.php

It also helps, if you log into account and in MySQL Account Maintenance beside database click on Repair.
