    Default phpsuexec after effects

    hi!

I just installed phpsuexec on one of my old boxes. Now i found that some files are in nobody group. Once i put them under the same user, the internal server error for these scripts vanishes. The big question how do i know which all files are chowned to nobody ??

Manually if i have to go around that means some going through several 1000's of files to get to them.

Well if it makes you feel any better i dont think that chowning these to the username will fix anything. I found nobody@ coming from some of my domains and when i went into the users directory and looked in the forums it was already chown to the users name but msgs coming from the forums was still from nobody!

I would have prefered the command rather than RTFM. Anyways i found my way. Thx.

    Thumbs up

alrite this finally worked out (thx to Juanra's RTFM)

    find /home -group nobody

This gave me all the php scripts (and other files) which were chowned on nobody. I made a shell script to chown them back to the user. Things are returning to normal.

    Cheers!

The script that runs after you install phpsuexec, dont you think should have done this at least, chown all users scripts?

The /scripts/postsuexecinstall ? It runs inturn the /scripts/fixsuexeccgiscripts. Yes i would have loved to c the script find all the files and chown them. But like its said u can't always expect everything. Atleast phpsuexec is working on this box of mine. I tried earlier but in vain.
