phpsuexec downsides?

I have to enable phpsuexec because someone is mail bombing from my server and I used shared IP for all accounts.

If I enable phpsuexec do my clients have to do anything with their scripts or anything else out of the ordinary?

seems as IMO it breaks things if you enable it..

From what I understand many/most of the problems seem to be related to enabling phpsuexec retroactively.
