pkgacct2 and problem with InnoDB tables

Hi,

I was transferring a cPanel account from one server to another today using the pkgacct2 script. Everything went well, but when I checked the database of the user in phpMyAdmin after restoring the account on the new server, all the InnoDB tables were missing. The MyISAM tables shows up correctly.

Is this a bug in the account copy script, or is it a problem on my end?

I would appreciate your feedback on this.

PS: Both servers are running cPanel 11.24.4-R35075

I recommend using /scripts/pkgacct rather than /scripts/pkgacct2.

Any particular reason you are using this manual method rather than using the WHM interface's Copy Account from Another Server or Copy Multiple Accounts from Another Server features? In 11.24, we have substantially improved the reliability and performance of account transfers.

Thanks for the reply. I prefer to do things via the Shell as I won't have to bother with HTTP timeouts, etc. I just feel more confident creating the backup on server 1, then transferring the backup to server 2 using WGET or SCP.

What is the difference between pkgacct and pkgacct2 ? I believe I have read somewhere that pkgacct is old and should not be used, however I might be mistaken.

Ok, thanks. I will use the pgkacct script next time. Anyway, back to the initial topic: can you confirm whether pkgacct (and following restore) will work with InnoDB tables/databases as well? It might be that this bug only applies to pkgacct2, though.

It should be transferring InnoDB tables/databases. If you still experience this with /scripts/pkgacct from a server running cPanel/WHM 11.24 or later, then please let our technical analysts take a look at things for you.
