    Default Please check my exim logs, can't receive mails from certain senders

    Hi,
    I can't receive mails from certain senders.

    I got an error reply for one of my emails of domains hosted somewhere else
    -------------
    Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

    Subject: wefefwfew
    Sent: 14.12.2006 16:39

    The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

    'bla@customsnkr.com' on 14.12.2006 16:39
    550 unknown user
    -----------------------------------

    In the exim_mainlogs i get this when a mail doesnt get through:
    ----------------------
    2006-12-14 04:35:18 SMTP connection from [69.16.234.123]:40178 I=[72.52.130.137]:25 (TCP/IP connection count = 1)
    2006-12-14 04:35:18 SMTP connection from (nagios5.liquidweb.com) [69.16.234.123]:40178 I=[72.52.130.137]:25 closed by QUIT
    ---------------------

    and this when it comes through

    2006-12-14 04:44:22 SMTP connection from [212.227.126.188]:57548 I=[72.52.130.137]:25 (TCP/IP connection count = 1)
    2006-12-14 04:44:24 ident connection to 212.227.126.188 timed out

    Hi,

    Probably the recipients has no Reverse DNS entries for MX records that is why your getting 550 unknown user.

    you should have a reverse DNS for all your mail servers. It is strongly urged that you have them, as many mailservers will not accept mail from mailservers with no reverse DNS entry.
