    Default plpgsql-postgresql

A client want to install plpgsql. I try "createlang plpgsql db_name" but I receive this error

    root@dedicate [/backup]# createlang plpgsql db_name
    Password:
psql: FATAL: Password authentication failed for user "root"

The same error if I try with psql:
    root@dedicate [/backup]# psql
    Password:
psql: FATAL: Password authentication failed for user "root"

    createlang: external error
    root@dedicate [/backup]#

I put the root pswd and root_postgresql pswd and nothing.... the same error.

    Any ideeea?
    Thanks!

I had found a solution for this ..

something like not using root as the user. some other user... let me see if i can dig this out.

    try this !!

    su - postgres

then you will be able to manage postgres dbs. type psql -l to see list of dbs

    then try createlang etc ..
