Possible serious bug in WHM??

Hi everyone.

I have found this to be the case in BOTH 9.9.8 and 9.9.9

Whenever I restart my server or whenever I try to update release, the following services appear ALWAYS as "failed" in WHM:

Apache
Bind
Exim
Eximstats

This really doesn't seem to be the case as if I type in sheel

service httpd start
service named start

for both of them the answer is "service already running".

Needless to say, all sites work 100%.

I have at times to run /scripts/upcp --force for the problem to be rectified, although at times, instead, I have to first upgrade to latest release and then bring it back to stable for the problem to disappear.

What could the problem be?

ur chksrvd might not be starting while u come back after a reboot. that is the one that changes the color of the status button.

chkservd which monitors your services might be starting up before those services, thus not seeing them as started. This checks services roughly every 9 minutes, so it might show failed for a while. If the services are running you probably don't have anything to worry about. Try running: "service chkservd restart" and see if those are still marked as failed. If so, contact your distributor or system admin, they should be able to resolve this issue for you.
