postgres backup not working

I checked my servers backups and I found that postgres backups aren't working.

at /cpbackup/dayle/user/psql.sql there are sql content about user and database access but at
/cpbackup/dayle/user/psql/user_database.tar.gz is not a valid tar.gz file. Instead it have a text content:

# file user_database.tar.gz
user_database.tar.gz : ASCII text
# cat user_database.tar.gz
Unrecognized Command!


This happen with all my user backups on all my servers.

I use RHEL3 with Postgres 7.3 on all servers and Postgres 8.1 on the other one


Can you confirm this bug?

Currently I'm writing a script to make Postgres backups

This is a known bug, may be fixed on this century :)

Do cPanel staff know about this issue?

it is already reported on http://bugzilla.cpanel.net. I think they know it, but i have no idea if they are working on it. :)
