8.9.0-E30
Even though this was done in 8.9.0-E21
Resent the fact you removed the auto update to edge. I for one have since day one found edge to be the most reliable and the quickest fixed and updated. I personally think and see on this forum that stable and release are not nor have ever been as reliable as edge.
I request this feature to be put back in, and for cPanel to not dictate to server owners what they can and cannot auto update to.

I love the concept of the new "CURRENT" version. We can still do the manual updates to Edge if necessary, but current seems to have the best of new features, while still having some more post-compile testing.
I tried an upgrade to Current and saw that my header still listed "E30" as the version number. I also appear to have lost the main news/status screen.
I went back to the manual push of the E30 and it seems to work great. (including fixing the license file problem that started today's commotion)
Just edit /etc/cpupdate.conf to have CPANEL=edgeOriginally posted by dgbaker

Possible values are:
CPANEL=stable
CPANEL=daily <= release
CPANEL=current
CPANEL=edge
CPANEL=beta
