Problem deleting public key from GnuPG

I have been trying to delete a public key from GnuPG in cpanel. It asks for confirmation and I select YES. BUT, when I return to the list it is still there. I also checked the file on the server and the trustdb file hadn't changed.

All I am trying to do really is renew the key, it has expired.

Any ideas?

I tried to update the key that will not delete with the exact same one that I had placed in there before and this is the error message returned:

gpg: Warning: unsafe ownership on file "/home/accname/.gnupg/options"
gpg: Warning: unsafe ownership on file "/home/accname/.gnupg/random_seed"
gpg: Warning: unsafe ownership on file "/home/accname/.gnupg/secring.gpg"
gpg: Warning: unsafe ownership on file "/home/accname/.gnupg/pubring.gpg"
gpg: key ********: not changed
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: unchanged: 1

All these files have root ownership...

It's been like this for a awhile. I opened a ticket back in November and was told it was fixed in the latest EDGE at that time (via Darren on 11/30). I haven't checked the Stable/Release tree to see if it's working in quite some time. If you are still having issues, it appears it never made into those or is broken once again.

The user accname would not have permissions to change any files owned by root. These files and the .gnupg folder should all be owned by accname and belong to the accname group.

Execute the following command as root:

chown -R accname:accname /home/accname/.gnupg
