When I was young I used to break Windows, Now Microsoft does it for me!
Can you elaborate what you mean "for my server" - are you installing this in WHM -> Service Configuration -> Manage Service SSL Certificates? Or are you installing this for people to access a website at http://server.xxxx.com ?
Im trying to install it for the cpanel/whm interface

do you mean ssl key/cert manager as I dont have an option to install there and there are no hosts in my ssl hots manager?

There are 2 interfaces for installing SSL certificates in WHM:
For installing SSL certificates for services like cpsrvd (cPanel/WHM webmail), Exim, Courier etc, you go to WHM -> Service Configuration -> Manage Service SSL Certificates. You only have access to this if you have root access to the server.
For installing SSL certificates for websites (HTTPS on Apache), you go to WHM -> SSL/TLS -> Install a SSL Certificate and Setup the Domain. You may or may not have access to this if you have reseller access to the server.
I was also experiencing the same issue. Thank you great response!
Hi
I have just installed a cert from GlobalSign for whm/cpanel but I am still getting this error when people try to login to whm :
xxxhost.com:2087 uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
I have checked the cert in manage ssl certs and it says the cert isnt self signed so why am i still getting this error?
Cheers
