    Default Problem with Overselling

Ok I have a reseller setup

disk space is limited to 1000 megs
    bandwidth is 20000 megs

I created a package with 1000 megs and bandwidth of 20000 megs

    Added user all was well.

total usuage for reseller on disk space is now .16megs

when you go to create another account it says you cannot because they do not have enough diskspace available

Shouldn;t this work as that is what overselling means. Be able to sell more than you are allocated as long as usuage is below limit

If, in the Reseller section, you are using:

Limit Accounts that xxx can create by Resource Usage (unlimited it not acceptable here; Just uncheck the checkboxs to remove the limits):

And have checked "Overselling Allowed", it does seem to work backwards. (i.e., Overselling is not Allowed)

I use that setup though, as it provides the Reseller (in their WHM) with a Table that shows:

Resource - Max Allowed - Remaining

And even though they may have lots remaning, the Table showing "Max Left" of setup Packages, is what they have to go by.

Haven't looked at the settings for awhile, but should probably play around them and uncheck the boxes for "Creation Allowed" -- if I understand correctly, that should remove the allocation limits and provide true Overselling. Not sure what that will do though, to the Reseller WHM Tables mentioned above.

Just noticed the new addition of "Save as ACL List" -- nice touch!

Saves the options you want to give (Resellers) according to a certain level of options. Maybe you want to give some, more options than others?

Before, you had to remember or keep a list handy, for what options you wanted to provide Resellers. Now you don't. That's what's so nice.

First time round, check off the options to be provided then save to a list by giving the list a name. Next time you setup a Reseller account you can choose your list accordingly (by name) and the options are automatically checked/provided for that Reseller.

    Default hrm

I am familiar with how the acl works my problem is that the overselling does not seem to enable overselling. Do I just have a twisted view of what over selling is?

What are the results of your testing with the "Overselling Allowed" not being checked?
