    Default problem with Password Protect Directories in cpanel

    hello ,

    i have problem with Password Protect Directories in cpanel

    when i try to add any user to any directories like /admin it's create correctly

    and show me this msg The user XXXX now has the password 00000 .

    and when i get the url http://www.mydomain.com/admin

    the Password Protect Directories not work and the folder desplay

    i have try this
    /scripts/upcp from SSH

    and try to restart cpanel from SSH

    i need help

    Make sure you select the option

    "Password protect this directory"
    It's just above where you add the user for a directory.

    yes iam sure i have select the option

    "Password protect this directory"

    any one can help me

    What is the full cPanel version number?

    Are FrontPage Extensions enabled?

    the cPanel Version :11.24.5-RELEASE

    the FrontPage Extensions is disabled and not installed

    and i follow the documentation for this feature and its still not work

    any one can help ?

    I would also check for other customizations in .htaccess files starting in public_html following to the level of the password-protected directory.
