    Default Problem with pro nad pure ftp in cpanel .

    Hello Every one!!!!!!!!
    We are currently using cPanel 11.24.5-R38506 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9 on CENTOS 4.8 i686 standard . In past we have enabled pure Ftp software for FTP server . but we were un enable to get the authentication page with the following url method ;

    ftp://ftp.domainname.tld
    to get the authentication page we need to type the url in below format ;

    ftp://username@ftp.domainname.tld

    to avoid this issue now we have enable pro ftp , after enabling pro ftp the above mention problem get resolved but we have come across the new issue in pro ftp like quota option for ftp accounts is not available which was available in pure ftp . Similarly pure ftp supported username in upper case or lowercase where as same is not in proftp .

    so requesting you to please provide me the solutions/ advice to resolve the authentication problem in pure FTP ( I would again like to switch to pure FTp since quota option is not available in pro .. ).
    We would like to access our ftp sever with the below mention format;

    ftp://ftp.domainname.tld

    Regards,

    Are you attempting to login to FTP using a web browser, using a FTP client or typing this into your web browser which then launches a FTP client (rather than using the web browser for FTP)?

    If you want a good FTP experience, I strongly recommend using a FTP client.

    Web browsers are good in an emergency, but they were designed for web pages - not FTP. As a result, some implementations done by web browsers is less than ideal. This is sometimes referred to as a "broken client."

    Try going to WHM -> FTP Server Configuration and change the setting for "Broken Clients Compatibility" from No to Yes.
