Default Problem in receiving mails from Hotmail

Okay, I think I've found a serious bug in CPanel or possibly just Exim.
We're running 9.4.1-STABLE_65 on all our CPanel servers and able to reproduce this issue on all of them.

We're having problem in receiving mails from Hotmail/MSN. Emails coming from Hotmail/MSN are delayed for hours or never arrived. But other times, those can arrive within 5-10 minutes. The senders will sometimes receive postmaster delay notification from Hotmail. No problem in receiving mails from other domains.

Could you please check this on your CPanel server? Is this a known issue? Thanks!

Do you have WHM > Exim Configuration Editor > Verify the existance of email senders enabled? It could be that Hotmail servers are extremely slow and timeout before providing the required information. You could try disabling that settings and see if that improves things.

I tried what you suggested Chirpy but it didn't help.

Do you see anything at all in exim_mainlog that could indicate a problem from hotmail? It certainly sounds odd, though I must admit I avoid hotmail myself as their servers are sometimes very slow indeed when sending email (and use yahoomail which arrives almost immediately after sending).

The conclusions of my test is: we created a whole new protocol called email that is supposed to be instanteneous. But, as my test prooves, it took 25 minutes for the email to be received. In fact, uses Fedex, it's faster by now
