    Question Problem with /scripts/upcp

    After execute upcp (cron jobs installed by cpanel updates) the named (bind) dont resolve any domain, any DNS zone.

    See (this is a upcp information after run - i am modify the name server and IP to post here):

    Every day is the same error. named/bind down and never restart. The only solution is reboot the server (this is not a real solution of course).

    named restart dont work

    It looks like your up2date is broken or misconfigured. Try reinstalling up2date and ensure it's configuration is correct.

    check your /etc/passwd file

    as always, cpanel breaks shit when it updates. You probably have 'named' missing.

    add this line

    named:x:25:25:Named:/var/named:/sbin/nologin

    then start named
