Problem with Squirrelmail

Problem: One of my customers is getting the following error while trying to read mail from Squirrelmail (this error occures with all accounts with this client):

ERROR : Could not complete request.
Query: SELECT "INBOX"
Reason Given: SELECT failed: Can't open INBOX (file /home/nrgdj/mail/nrgdjteam.com/test/inbox): not in valid mailbox format

I have tryed /scripts/upcp, /scripts/fixeverything and we have deleted and recreated the e-mail accounts but the problem doesn't dissapear.

Does anyone know a solution to this error/problem?

Have you moved this account between partitions?

The most effective way is to delete the problem account and re-create. Email should not be lost.

I get this error when moving accounts between partitions or from another server to a new partition (IE /home --> /home2 etc.)

HI,

Inorder to fix this issue, just delete and recreate the inbox file.

# rm -rf inbox
# touch inbox
#chown user.mail inbox
#chmod 660 inbox
