    Default problems with bandwidth warnings

We hae two problems with the bandwidth warnings. First, they always go to the "admin" address (eg, admin@example.com), even though this address doesn't exist, and the contact address is set to something else entirely. Second, the notifications get sent out several times per day, which is silly since users can't free up bandwidth. Is there any way to fix these problems?

For example.com (working off your example), is a contact address set?

Additionally, you may want to check WHM -> Server Configuration -> Tweak Settings -> Notifications and ensure you only have one of the bandwidth notification options selected rather than multiple. This is because it is logical that bandwidth utilization will only increase, thus reaching each of these thresholds - possibly within a day.

Yes, there is a contact address set for this domain and we have only the following option checked under Notifications:

"Email users when they have reached 90% of their bandwidth"

    Any additional suggestions are appreciated.

    We have this problem too.

Although a contact address is set in cpanel under "please update your contact information here", warnings are sent to admin@domain in some cases.

Perhaps you may want to submit a support ticket so someone can look into that for you.

I have it on multiple servers, so I submitted a bug report in bugzilla.

Same issue here. I'll vote for that bug.

Oddly enough, it's been a problem as far back as 2003, 2004...and a support ticket was submitted then.

Additionally, when updating the contact address in cpanel "please update your contact information here" the warnings somehow are sent both to the old and the new contact.

    I checked /home/username/.contactemail
but the old contact address is not listed there anymore.

    Where should I look?
