Could you please elaborate on what you mean by email very slow? are you talking about mail sent from scripts or just generally?
Apache & PHP have nothing to do with exim so upgrading them wouldnt slow your mail down unless your server load has increased dramatically.
My load is 0.13 (good) but when i want to receive my email, it goes verry verry slow.Originally Posted by nickp666
Is takes more then 60 seconds to recieve my email(total 64 Kb). I'me using imap to pic up the mail. Can someone please tel me whats going wrong?
Thanks!
Well as above, IMAP is also nothing to do with php & apache, IMAP generally is quite slow, have you converted to maildir recently?
no, i don't no how.....Originally Posted by nickp666
I only updated my releases
ok, it's a difficult one to troubleshoot seeing as it is actually working, just slowly.
what mail client are you using to connect to your imap server (e.g. outlook, thunderbird e.t.c.)?
Have you restarted the imap service?
i'me using outlook and yes i restarted imap a few times.Originally Posted by nickp666
Further i fixt all mailbox permissions in whm.
ok, do you have any firewall/port filtering software on your box that could be interfering with your connection to the imap daemon?
do all other ports respond in a timely manner?
i didn't install an firewall.Originally Posted by nickp666

Does someone noes an solution?
its usually something that either works or doesnt, i would suggest hiring a sysadmin to look at it for you
the problem is, i bought the server.Originally Posted by nickp666
