Default Proftpd: viewing files owned by user nobody

    Quick question regarding Proftpd

I have a client who says they need to be able to view files created by a CGI script via FTP.

Currently these files are invisible to the FTP user. I have tried different configurations listed at the Proftp site such as :
    HideNoAccess
    HideUser
    IgnoreHidden

Any ideas how I can do this? Thanks - Bruce

I suspect this problem relates to the kernel we are using on our machine which may not allow Apache to run as the group &nobody&. ..

    I have this problem,
I have a tar file that is a script for a CMS. Is there a way to untar the file so the ftp server can see it?
the error log reads like this:

2003-06-11 23:49:36]: error: directory is writable by others: (/home/jbhofpec/public_html/UCMS)

    thanks
