Default protect cpanel urls with http password

    Hi,
Is there anyway to protect the cpanel, WHM, and webmail urls with, at least httppasswd ?

I find myself insecure knowing that everybody knows the urls and might try to brute force the html form.
Speaking of invalid logins, is there any log that might keep this attacks against cpanel, WHM, or webmail ?

    Thanks,
    Jcorreia

If yours are not already password protected you'd enable this via Tweak Settings in WHM.

All failed attempts are logged by the system. To monitor these, you should consider the Login Failure Daemon (lfd) included in the most popular CSF product line:

    http://configserver.com/cp/csf.html

This is a great product that integrates seamlessly into cPanel.

    Cheers.

    Thanks both of you.
I have already httpdpassword enable in WHM and cpanel, but this accepts my account and root passwords.
What I would like to have is an extra security check to be able to enter in the cpanel pages, with a diferente common user and password only people that have to acess this ambients would know.
It´s like acessing a sand box....

I hope I´ve made myself clear.

    Thanks,
