    Default Public FTP

    Hi,

I've recently had a shared hosting customer come to me and tell me their public ftp isn't working. I explained that we did not offer this service and the public_ftp directory in their home directory should be ignored.

The customer has now asked me if there is an addon they can purchase in order to make the public_ftp directory provide a home directory for an anonymous ftp server for their domain.

Before I respond to the customer, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not it is possible to use this public_ftp directory in the manner explained above, and if so, how should one go about setting this up?

Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
