    Default Pure FTP Users/Passwords

Does anyone know where these files are when cpanel is installed? I searched /etc/ and didn't find it, so the "pure-pw" comands are useless . .

All I want is to create ftp accounts that allow the users to have one word login names (like the default user) rather than those ugly ones with the "@domainname" bit on the end.

I figured a little editing of the password file would be helpful, or even the database file . . neither of which I can find . . .

    Anyone help?

Guess its some ftp server software that allows such a thing, cos my WHM/CPanel Linux box is the ONLY server where I have EVER had to log on with an ftp username in the format <something>@mydomain.com . . .

or are you saying that it can't be done in the manner I suggested as oppose to can't be done at all ?

    :-)

Because the FTP accounts, except for the main account name, are virtual users, they must login with the following format user@domain.tld. This is not the case for the main account since it is a real Linux user.

Old thread but I thought I would start here.

Where is the virtual users information stored? I'm hoping to prevent "delete access" to a certain user. I added a virtual ftp user bla@bla.com to my cpanel account. I want him to read/write but no delete.
