pure-ftpd problems

Hi,

I have cPanel 11.24.4-R36167 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9 FEDORA 7 x86_64 standard on fc71315 and pure-ftpd-1.0.21-12.fc7

Since the latest cPanel/WHM upgrade the FTP logins stopped working. When anyone tries to login I get the following in /var/log/messages:
Jul 13 14:18:15 fc71315 pure-ftpd: (?@127.0.0.1) [INFO] New connection from 127.0.0.1
Jul 13 14:18:24 fc71315 pure-ftpd: (?@127.0.0.1) [WARNING] Authentication failed for user [sstestc]

nothing else.

I tried re-installing pure-ftpd but it did not help.

Also another strange problem is that when I try to switch to proftpd, it says it switched but nothing happens, it stays to pure-ftpd. If I click the "FTP Server Selection" button again, it goes back to pure-ftpd.

Ok, I just fixed it

I removed pure-ftpd completly and then ran /scripts/ftpup
