I host my VPS with GoDaddy. Outages are becoming more and more frequent. It's horrendous!

With thousands of companies--sometimes individuals--offering hosting, how can I find a reliable VPS provider?

How do I know if it is a reliable company or just some guy with microsoft servers in his kitchen?

I can go to CNET.com to find authoritative reviews on freeware. I can do to Consumer Reports to find authoritative reviews on merchandise.

Where can I go to find authoritative and objective reviews on hosting companies?

I would appreciate it if some industry veterans would chime in. Noone trying to sell me their service please.
