Default Question about new GD update.

I was reading my UPCP cron email, and noticed the following:

    CPAN.pm: Going to build L/LD/LDS/GD-2.18.tar.gz

NOTICE: This module requires libgd 2.0.25 or higher.
it will NOT work with earlier versions. If you are getting
compile or link errors, then please get and install a new
version of libgd from www.boutell.com. Do NOT ask Lincoln
for help until you try this.

If you are using Math::Trig 1.01 or lower, it has a bug that
causes a "prerequisite not found" warning to be issued. You may
    safely ignore this warning.

Type perl Makefile.PL -h for command-line option summary

    Configuring for libgd version 2.0.15.
Now the above says that the module requires libgd 2.0.25, however on the bottom it says its configuring the module for libgd 2.0.15. Does cpanel control what version of libgd gets installed on the server? Also should i be concerned, or should things continue to run smoothly?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

    Running RHE server.

As far as i know GD is distributed with php, you might want to double check this @ php.net and also see if GD is in the buildapache directory on http://layer1.cpanel.net
