Question question: how to instrcut cpanel to omit specific accounts or dirs from backup proces

    Hi all,

I did a search under backup in this forum, and none of the 104 results pertained to this issue.

There are several large accounts with several gigs of files that I have been advised don't need to be backed up.

While cpanel is performing the backup, load increases greatly due to the amont/size of dir's.

Is there any way to instruct it to omit accounts or directories within accounts?

    Thanks in advance.

I couldnt find an answer in the documentation for cpanel either.

there is a post by someone who mod the cpbackup script to omit a particular user. However as you speak abt more than one user, you will need to further mod the script.

I will c if i can get you the link.

If you are unable to do the mods, probably u can hire someone else to do it for you.
