Default quota issue on dedicated servers and VPS servers

    Hi

On the dedicated servers and on the VPS servers-the
quota was working fine until the last few weeks

Now -- on some sites --
the quota in cpanel does not correspond
with the quota in SSH when you do a
    du -h

is there a command in SSH
to fix quotas on specific sites?

I do not want to run fix quotas on an entire server

    thanks
    Audrey

    Default

If quotas don't tally (and using du is not a reliable way of checking) then you will have to rebuild the disk quotas using /scripts/fixquotas

The Linus quota system can also break on VPS systems if you allow OS updates to the quota rpms. In those cases you'll have to get help from the VPS provider for a fix.

    Default quotas

    hi Jonathan

Thanks for your help with this

    Unfortunately using
    /scripts/fixquotas
    on the dedicated server
orhaving a provider do any quota fixes on the VPS
just causes more troublewith quota- and makes more sites with quota problems

that is why I was looking for a way to adjust the quota on individual sites.

just out of curiosity-as you say-
du is not a reliable way of checking quotas--
what do you recommend as a reliable way?

    thanks
    Audrey
