Raid Controller

Can anyone give rec on a good affordable controller for raid 1 for use with 2 drives. Looked at a bunch and not sure of what specs I need to make sure it has.

Well, basically any raid card will support raid 1 but you should make sure that it is a true hardware based raid card. In general the cheap ones are not. If you see a mention for HostRAID (some adaptec cards) then it is not. Also if you are looking for a sata raid card then you should buy a sata 3,0 card or sata II card as they call it. Adaptecs 2420sa is a true SATA II hardware raid card for PCI-X ~100 USD on ebay. Or if you have a PCI-E slot then buy one for that.
