Question RBL problem [destwhitelist not working]

We are having a Redhat 9.x serverand running Exim version 4.43 #1 but having a strange problem.

The problem is that we do have RBL section in exim.conf to stop spammer to use our server to send and receive mails but we have few customers who wants them to be excluded from the spam restrictions as there IPs are blaclisted too. So, we try to place there domain(s) in destwhitelist (file located at /etc/exim/acls/) but nothing seems to be working in this way. I have checked it personally the mails are still blocking due to the Blacklisted IP but when we comment the RBL section then the mails are going perfectly.

Exim.conf is also attached with this thread so if you want you can also review it.

    Any help will be appreciated

ah problem + problem = problem

but don't worry I have solution for your problem. If you are using cPanel then update your Exim to the latest release and it will add the necessary RBL section automatically and also automatically create the destwhitelist file to let you exclude the domains from restrictions.

But with me the problem is that I have the RBL section and the necessary files but it is not working for me

I have searched in other forums and came to know that exim guys are no more supporting this thing so that is why it is not working for me

BTW it should be located in /etc/exim/acls/

    GREAT!! thank you very much

One last thing now... Is there a FROM whitelist for external domains sending to domains on my VPS, that I want to exclude from spamchecking?

eg xyz.com is sending mail to myvps.com, but its mail is getting spamblocked, and I dont want it to?

I guess something like could be named sourcewhitelist?

According to my little knowledge it is not possible in this case with additional RBL block but this is possible if you install MailScanner on your box because MailScanner provides you the option to specify @From to @to domains to block or exclude from it's own (MailScanner RBL) spam checking.

May be this will help you.

ah my server may be hacked so please pray for me that every thing is Okay

There are several other posts on RBL setups that work very well. I posted my exim.conf some time ago - just check for that thread as some people made some changes to it.
