Recurring problem in WHM - can't change password

Why does this happen again and again. I just need to change password for an account and this is returned with no further explanation:

The password for 'user' could not be changed because:

? - no explanation ..

Have anybody else experienced the same problem? I experienced it a while ago and couldn't solve the problem at that day. The next day it worked again and I hadn't done anything.

As for now I can't change password for an account on the server, neither in WHM or cPanel. I tried restarting different services and upcp, but it didn't solve the problem. Any help is gratefully received.

Thanks, I'll do that if it happens again. Besides not being able to change password for accounts in WHM, Apache couldn't be updated thorugh WHM or SSH. WHM issued an internal server error. According to /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log MD5.pm couldn't be found and there were compiltion errors. The issue were fixed with

# /scripts/realperlinstaller MD5
