    Default redirect domain.com/file.html to sub.domain.com??

Using the Redirects tool in cPanel (stable 114) causes the subdomain to break.

    Example:
    www.domain.com/index.html redirects to subdomain.domain.com

Setup via the Redirects tool in cPanel - this fails. Neither URL works at this point.

SO I've been trying to setup a .htaccess mod_rewrite rule manually to make this happen.
Anyone know how? I tried what I found on apache.org but it wasn't working....

    Thanks!

Oh - also, anyone know why the redirect via cPanel breaks everything??

I don't think if the redirect was set up correctly from cpanel, it breaks something, atleast more oftion. But not sure why it happens in your case. Are you sure that you set it up correctly?

    Yeah - I mean... it's pretty basic...

box 1: enter the file that when called, will redirect to another URL
box 2: the URL it goes to...
