Default redirect from one page to another

    Hello,

Before I post my issue...I have searched the forum and found nothing so I apologize if I missed it.

I am having a problem forwarding from one web page to another using the redirect script inside cpanel:

while I can setup a redirect:

    http://adomain.com/page.asp to redirect to http://adomain.com/sub/page.php

    the redirects that I create:

http://adomain.com/page.asp to redirect to http://adomain.com/shop/index.php?cPath=23_24 will not work...everything from the equal sign and forward is being ignored.

Can anyone give me any help?

    Thanks,

    Bam

Why don't you use .htaccess instead?

    Hello,

When you use the redirect script inside cpanel, that's where they are setup...all of them are setup inside an htaccess file. Only the ones that redirect to ?cPath= do not redirect.

Thanks Andy for trying...any other suggestion(s)?

Maybe cpanel is cutting off the .htaccess entry at the = sign. See what is in the .htaccess file. You may need to manually complete it.

In his htaccess, it shows index.php?cPath=23_24 with the ?, but when the page is accessed the ? is changed to %3f which keeps it from working. Can question marks not be used in the .htaccess file? How do you make it be treated like any other character?

I was able to manually fix each redirect by editing the .htaccess file redirect entry as follows:

    I changed:

    Redirectmatch Permenant ^/page.asp$ http://domain.com/cart/index.php?cPath=23_43

    to:

    Redirect /page.asp http://domain.com/cart/index.php?cPath=23_43
