Well,

You can create the addon domain and then create the redirect via your cpanel...

OR, why not just park the domain?

I still have yet to understand the difference between parked domains and addon domains.

in my case i have an addon domain that is registered and propogated. so i wil try to redirect via the addon domain link.

can you clarify addon's and parked domains? even the explanations that i read leave me wondering what the difference is

thanks
kotr

Nutshell and not too technical .....

Addon domains allow a user to add another domain to their account and manage the files without having to create a new account.

Parked Domains, typically, are domains that are registered, but will probably never have their own content.

A classic example for "Parking" domains....

One registers all possible permutations of a domain...

domain.com
domain.net
domain.org
domain.biz
etc. . .

to ensure that nobody else "pirates" the domain name.

Ergo, one would create content for the domain (say .com for this example) and would then park all other domains on top of that domain to ensure that all would resolve to the same site.

Make any sense?

Website Rob
Parked Domains
- will all show the same Web pages, the Web pages of the Domain they are Parked on

Add-on Domains
- will show their own Web pages and operate independently of the main account
