Regenerating awstats log

Hello,

We are currently experiencing problems with our awstats logs.
we have recently moved a client from another server to our CPanel environment and have copied the awstats files.

These work fine except for the month that the site was transfered in (14th of january 2010). all stat-records between the 14th and the 31st are lost.

Now this isn't a real problem as we still have the original apache logs which these files were generated out of.
We simply wish to regenerate the awstats files based on our current apache domlogs.

However there seems to be a setting hidden somewhere to trigger The stats to be regenerated, where is this "trigger" located?

as removing the statfiles and manually processing the logs does not regenerate the previous month.

The answer I got is as followed:

Hello,

If the user's domlog file contains all of their logs, then you could rename the user's /home/user/tmp/awstats directory, create an empty awstats directory and copy over the awstats.domain.tld.conf file making sure to keep the same permissions. Then run the stats for that user:

/scripts/runweblogs username

If this doesn't have the desired effect, you can restore the awstats folder.

This has worked in some cases!
Now the only problem is that with some sites I have 2 seperate awstats generated files.
I am wondering if they can be merged, anyone ?
