Reinstall BoxTrapper? How can I do this?

We have having a hard time trying to get BoxTrapper going again on one of our servers. It mysteriously dissappeared a couple of weeks ago, but just from one of our 6 cPanel servers. I hear the issue has been fixed, but I have tried everything to get it back, recently tried

/scripts/updatenow
/scripts/upcp --force
/scripts/fixcommonproblems

but no luck.

Also tried to reinstall cPanel pro via WHM, but no luck again.


Is'nt there an installer I could download and use, just for BoxTrapper?

IIRC, you'll have to run CURRENT or EDGE if you want to use boxtrapper as it was removed from cPanel Pro about a week ago and integrated into the base.

As stated in other threads, boxtrapper was removed from Pro and put into the actual builds. Boxtrapper is on Current and Edge releases only at the moment.

It seems I have done this, I am on the Edge version. Boxtrapper seems to be working, but I have no frontend control of it, so various emails aren't coming through to me etc, I would like to know if there are some files I can upload to put this right as I have ran the update scripts etc.

I'm on WHM 10.3.1 cPanel 10.5.0-C49 and still having this problem.

I enabled box trapper on an email account, added an outside email account to the blacklist, sent an email to the boxtrapper enabled account and not a single response. I tried without blacklisting also, still won't work.

The review log and queue are both empty as well. I sent 3 test emails.

What could be the problem?

tail -f /var/log/exim_mainlog

when sending the mail.

Tested on box trapper enabled accounts both blacklisted and non listed

for the fantastico parse error you probably need to chmod httpd.conf to 644

That defeats the whole purpose of better security. Goto the fantastico forums for fantastico issues, they will have the fix for it.

Are you logged in using the root/reseller password? Try the account password (or upgrade to the latest Fantastico)
