If I download http://layer2.cpanel.net/cpanel-universal-install.sea and run it as root will it update to cPanel 11 release?

This script will UPGRADE cPanel, not wipe all my configuration, right?

Looks not the best option to me. Just read again and you see:

    RELEASE
    10.9.0-RELEASE_10737
    (Wed Apr 25 20:29:54 2007)

So no not V11 only in Current and maybe it will come today.

Yup, I am also seeing that it wasn't released for "RELEASE" version yet:

    RELEASE
    10.9.0-RELEASE_10737
    (Wed Apr 25 19:16:12 2007)

Well I've been running cPanel 11 CURRENT for a while and haven't had any issues until I tried to auto-upgrade to release. It downgraded to 10 and when I reupgraded the whm theme is a bit strange.

Note: Us and most hosts would tell you not to upgrade for production environments until the Stage 1 and Stage 2 of STABLE 11 is released later this month. At best maybe even the middle of next month to allow major issues to be ironed out. You upgrade at your own risk. Backup is recommended.

You should also be aware of the changes cPanel 11 implement on your server. You should also now have any depreciated features from cPanel 10 active when you upgrade.
He's talking about the Release version of cPanel 11, not if cPanel 11 was released yet as noted in the subject.

I don't see that the release version has come out yet, just current and edge.

Topicstarter just asked if release Tree V11 was out and you said yes look .......
I was only warning that it isn't true, I don't wan't start a discussion about if it is or not the same as Current because when you say that then you are a beginner with cPanel and don't know what you are doing and saying.

Current is save to run on productionserver Edge only if you know what you are doing and thats about it.

    have a nice day.

I probably should of have used Release Tree instead of Release Version in subject. Anyways, anyone up for taking bets if it is coming out today? Haha, to win though I am betting that it won't.

cPanel 11 has NOT been released on schedule as was meant to be today.

Previous topic posts removed to save confusion.

This was misinformation by one of our newly trained T3 Technicians who was asked to cover our presence on the forum and got confused about cPanel releases + release dates. This was a lapsing on our side to attempt to keep a presence online this evening. The T3 Tech has now been tasked with other stuff to do. I will look into why a T3 Technician was even tasked with this forum and by who but however please accept my apologies on behalf of eNetHosts for the misinformation.

CPANEL 11 RELEASE WAS NOT RELEASED TODAY

Hey, cpanelnick sorry for betting against the release date. Just trying to not jinx it and all. Kind of excited to see it being released today.
