    cPanel/Enkompass Access Level

    Root Administrator

    Default

    rpm -qa |grep -i mysql

then 'rpm-i' to remove all the mysql binaries. Then:

    rm -rf /var/lib/mysql

    touch /etc/mysqlupdisable
    touch /etc/mysqldisable

(the above keeps cpanel from trying to reinstall it during updates)

And disable mysql from chkservd by going into WHM > service manager

as long as you do not want to use any mysql realted things via php / cgi scripts, there wont by any problem.
