Renaming MySQL database

Our users are unable to rename their SQL databases using phpMyAdmin.
I tried via CLI as a user (not root) and it fails also. (permission denied)
If I do it for the user, using the root phpMyAdmin account all is fine.

Is this a feature, bug, only happening for me?

Any pointers?

I hate to be digging this thread, but i encounter the same issue for many customers (if not all of them).
It seems that, by using "rename", phpmyadmin/sql will attempt to do a "create", then a "export/import". This just inst possible with CPanel's configuration, where no matter what user you add to the databases and what privilegies are given, phpmyadmin will still connect only as "cpaneluser@localhost" instead of "cpaneluser_DBuser@localhost". This prevents users from creating or renaming a database via phpmyadmin, and just there isn't other possibility of renaming a database besides a manual "create", "export" then "import"..

We're using MySQL 5.0.27-standard and phpMyAdmin - 2.9.0.2

Any tips?
