Reseller migrating with existing private dns

Hi, I have a Reseller who is migrating from another provider that already has DNS registered with the other provider's IPs, so basically he is going to upload files and switch the dns IPs, but when I try to assign IPs to his DNS in the reseller center under 'Edit Privileges/Nameservers' I get:

Sorry, the nameserver ns1.*******.com already has the ip xx.xx.xx.xx assigned to it.

What is the best workaround for this so when he changes his dns DNS IPs at the registrar level his sites are migrated smoothly,

He cannot just edit the nameservers. There must be another link for Registering new ip addresses with the nameservers. Who's the registrar?

I was trying to assign ns1/ns2 IPs so I would know what IPs to tell him to switch to, basically what I ended up doing is manually editing /etc/nameserverips with the correct dns/IPs

there's an option in Tweak Settings


it's called "Disable whois lookups for the nameserver ip manager."


i think this is what you're interested in.

Of course, manualy ediing /etc/nameserverips works.
