    Default resolv.conf reverting on fail

I've got a strange issue happening with my resolv.conf when the service fails and is automagicly restarted it changes the content of resolv.conf to:

    ns1.localdomain.com
    ns2.localdomain.com

It's an easy fix, simply log on and rewrite the file but if it happens when someones not watching it means the server is unable to deliver mail etc till it's noticed and changed.

Where might it be getting these details from?

I don't have a direct account with cPanel, so i'm supposed to go via my reseller however I have a feeling they not going to be much help.

It sounds like your /etc/resolv.conf file is being managed by the DHCP ( or other network ) service. Could you expound on what you mean by when the service fails and is automagicly restarted. To which service are you referring?
