Default Restart Apache kills all apache services

I have installed Apache2 on a different port on my server. When I try to restart the standard CPanel installation of Apache using WHM, it kills the second copy (Apache2). This doesn't seem right to me...it looks like the
    Code:
    /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/bin/whostmgr ./reshttpd
script is killing all instances of httpd and not the instance specified in the PIDFILE.

Any ideas? Should I report this as a bug? Any suggestions as to how I can prevent it from doing this or at least starting back up the Apache2 instance?

    Thanks.

Not much you can do about it. You could report it as a bug, though in a sense it isn't really a bug since cPanel isn't designed to run two different web servers on the same box.

It is not very good idea to run two different versions of Apache on one single server. Since you're running a CPanel powered server, the best option is to remove Apache 2.
