    Default Restoreing a weekly backup

    Hello-

I am trying to get a 772MB cPanel backup (weekly) restored to an account. I am not sure how I can do this. Some reading I have done leads me to think that running /scripts/restorepkg username while .tar.gz file is in the /home directory would restore the backup to the appropriate account. Please advise.

    I appreciate the help. Thanks.

You can restore it simply enough through WHM so long as the backup is in the same place as when it was created by cPanel backup:

WHM > Restore backups > weekly > select account and options

    Thanks for the reply Chirpy.

This backup is from a different server. What would be the best way to get it restored?

Put it in /home and then go to WHM > Restore a Full Backup/cpmove file

    Ok,

The backup was in a .tar.gz format; it is not cpmove. How can I restore this?

    Thanks.

SSh to the server, move the *.ta.gz file to /backup/cpbackup/weekly/ and then login to WHM >> Backup >> Restore Backups

WHM >> Backup >> Restore Backups allow you to select a backup file/an account to restore. If you wish to restore more than just one, use WHM >> Backup >> Restore Multiple backups
