Default Restoring Accounts After OS/CPanel Reload

I have recently reloaded my server with a fresh copy of an OS (Fedora Core 2) and the latest Cpanel. I have been using the WHM/CPanel's backup utility to make daily backups of the accounts to a secondary drive on the server. However, since the fresh CPanel does not have any of my accounts, it will not restore the backups. Furthermore and looking at the secondary drive, the backups are not in anytype of compressed form and are full blown /home/userid/ format.

Can I just copy over the contents from the backup drive after creating the account again?

if u dont have a cpbackup file, then u will need to create each account individually and then copy the /home/userid/* file to /home/userid/ . Beware of permissions though.

Turned out the backup settings were incorrect. I got this taken care of.

I'm trying to do this right now. I do have a cpbackup folder ready to go. I can't seem to get whm to see all the accounts.

    What am I missing?

put the cpbackup folder at /home and then have a check at the WHM.
