    Default restoring a cpanel backup....

    Hello all!

i have a tar ball here that contains a working copy of a site we got developed and i would like to make it live again, though there is a small issue.. i dont know how to restore a cpanel backup and restore the correct files to the WWW folder as well as the SQL database.

is there anything you guys could suggest to get this seemingly daunting task a reality?

    Thanks!

stick it in /home and use the WHM restore feature.

Sorry, i should have been a little clearer on my first post.

i dont have cpanel, or have access to it.

i was looking for more of a manual restore/install, without cpannel.

    Hey,

If you're looking for the files available to the web?

    - Un-tar.
    - cd username/
    - cd homedir/
    - cd public_html/

The site should be in there. Databases are in username/mysql/ and are in a dumped .sql format.

    Hope this helps Craftwell!
