    Default retry timeout exceeded intermittenty

    Hi all,

I have been running exim with chippy's mailscanner and the server standard spamassasin happily for months. However over the last three days I have started to loose some mail. Basically if I am sent 50 mails to my account I will lose one or two. In my mail stats it shows :-

    2 myaccount@jorvik.XXXX.co.uk: retry timeout exceeded

    1 mk@test.com: retry timeout exceeded

    2 root@jorvik.XXXX.co.uk: retry timeout exceeded

Please see below for a copy of the bounced messages headers. Could this be related to spamassasin or mailscanner being slow to respond or is it more likely exim ? Anyone offer me any advice as where to look?
    Thanks!
