root directory

can someone tell me where in cpanel I might find out what the name of my root directory? thank-you!

If you mean the home directory for an account, it is /home/username for the cPanel user's home directory. I'm not certain I understand root directory. To see the home directory in cPanel, it's listed next to Home Directory notation on the left hand pane (ctrl + f for home directory and you'll find it).

If it isn't the home directory that you mean, we will need more details on what you are trying to do.
