    Default RoR same port

Curios, does a user wanting to run RoR need a dedicated IP ?
I`m asking this since I have a shared environment, and some users have apps running on port :12001 for example, and if another user gets an app added, he gets assigned the same port. Is there a setting so you can tell cPanel to use incremented ports or am I missing something ?

    Hello,

In this case you would not need a dedicated IP unless you were going to use SSL. Please let me know if that answers your question.

    Thank you,

What is your full cPanel version number? What you are describing should not be happening. Each new RoR app should obtain a different port. If possible, please open a support ticket so we can determine why this is happening on your server.
