I don't know what has happened here but choosing 'Install an RPM' shows an empty box - no rpms are listed. I tried rebuilding the RPM database but with no success. Is there a fix for this? Does anybody know how to deal with this?
Thanks
John

there are heaps of threads on this issue but no definate fix
has anyone found the answer ???
The fix has been discussed many times. It's usually caused by your OS vendors update mechanism not being correctly configured on your server. What OS are you running? If it's RHE is up2date working? If it's CentOS/FC is yum working?

If you don't have the option to change to another OS (CentOS, for example), have you changed your yum configuration to get updates from the Fedora Legacy Project?Originally Posted by ctbhost
If not, you should.

Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.

So, is yum working?

As far as i can tell yum is working.
But for some reason i can't get the rpm-s installed.
Thanks.
You can check if yum is working by running:
yum list
You should get a stream of available packages.
