    Default Rsync Incremental Backups

Would it be possible to restore from incremental backups that were transferred to a remote server using rsync and left on the server they were create on? (in case of server failure).

I was also looking at rsnapshot.. would anyone recommend that for use with cPanel?

    Thanks,
    Ryan

rsnapshot is nice. It uses hardlinks for identical files to maintain full directory trees, without the space that would be used for a full copy. Strictly speaking, this is just an rsync option, but rsnapshot makes it easier.

We keep a single day of backups on the cpanel server, and use an rsnapshot-based script to maintain a 30-day history on a different server. A single day's backup is about 40GB, and 30 days worth of backups are 125GB.
